What sets you apart from the crowd?

As a part of my creative writing series.. here is my first kick-off post...

What sets me apart from the crowd? When asked this question, initially several questions pop into my mind: "what kind of crowd are you referring to? i have many crowds i hang around with..." "by crowd do you just mean the general population?"
by crowd, i take it the question is asking how i view myself to be different compared to other people, the "general" population, i come across on a daily basis.
well, one thing that sets me apart is definitely my openness to the world. i am always open to new ideas, adventures, and so on and so forth. i find this world to be a HUGE, WONDROUS place.. and i have a thirst to learn as much as i can as i open my third eye...
another thing that sets me apart would be my drive to be the best that i can be, with whatever job i am given. passion is what i am driven on, on a daily basis. i am an individual who puts high expectations on myself. although i do not consider myself to be an outright perfectionist, i expect myself to do well enough to make myself proud and live up to my standards. call me old fashion, but i am a firm believer in achievement over success. (achievement is performing your absolute best based on the knowledge you have gained and being proud of your results; success is solely the praise of others.. *think about it*)
i am also one who tries their best at maintaining a certain amount of self-awareness. i like to feel in touch with myself, and aligned with my morals, values, and beliefs. it seems people really forget about that nowadays. i enjoy reflecting on my performance, and always coming up with ways to improve myself. i would be lying if i said i did this on a regular basis, but with the fast-paced world we live in, we all often need reminders to do this important task...
